Third Sunday after Epiphany
For Jesus and his followers, the proclamation of the inbreaking kingdom of God was so important that they left their old way of life to devote themselves to that proclamation. In this broken and dark world, our primary calling is to proclaim in word and deed that “the kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!”

Second Sunday after Epiphany
God calls even the unlikely to proclaim the divine purpose. The boy Samuel had not yet met God when God came to him to make him a prophet. Philip wasn’t prepared to argue with Nathaniel’s skepticism about a teacher from that little Nazareth. All he could say was “come and see.” We too can invite others to come and see.
